After years of searching for relief from Bartonella and Babesia, I found Water’s Edge Wellness. My story begins two years ago when I was bitten by a tick. I was experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. IGeneX testing confirmed this and I was put on four different antibiotics for a year. At the same time my children were also showing signs of Lyme Disease including anxiety, heart palpitations, an inability to focus mentally, and breathlessness. I learned about Nancy Angelini and have been completely symptom free now that I am three months into my weekly, all natural treatments. My daughters are also on the road to recovery and we owe it all to Water’s Edge Wellness.

Water’s Edge Wellness has been helpful with not only relieving my pain but also with educating me on prevention and corrective ways to take care of myself from head-to-toe. The environment at Water’s Edge Wellness is so peaceful, it is like taking a vacation from the stress of everyday life. My shoulder and back muscles were very tight from a previous neck injury and my friend recommended the services of Nancy Angelini to help with my pain. If you are looking for results, I would recommend Nancy Angelini at Water’s Edge Wellness.

It is with great pleasure that I share the sense of blessing I have for being in Nancy’s care…I had been on a downward spiral for years and did not understand the myriad of symptoms that plagued me…Despite my efforts to find answers in the traditional medical community the answers I was provided with were just temporary band-aids. I was right on target with what Nancy had predicted in terms of my turn around time. I still have a short way to go with treatment but have very high expectations for my life ahead. Thank you Nancy for what you do and for the care you have in doing it.

The improvements in my overall health have been very significant to me. What is remarkable is that I have only been your client for a mere 9 weeks. Since adopting your carefully designed and customized protocol I noticed my health started to improve just days into the program. I believe you have a very unique gift and your truly holistic approach to healing the body is magnificent. I haven’t felt this healthy, this vibrant since well before my bout with cancer over 20 years ago.

I met Nancy at a time when I was abandoned and left for dead by traditional western medical practices when my chronic Lyme Disease had been dismissed by every specialty I sought care from. I was so incredibly broken and every system in my body had begun to fail from a decade of missed tick born illness and total body toxicity burden. Nancy’s heartfelt approach and careful consideration of my case has saved my life. After partnering with her for a year I am well on my way to recovery from chronic illness and I owe it all to Nancy’s knowledge, compassion and tireless commitment to my improvement.

I started with Nancy in June of 2019 after having a knee replacement. Nancy helped me get more range and also made my scar look 100% better using cupping, moxa and topical herbal poultices as well as deep massage. I am still with her today as I had guillain barre in 2006. Nancy guided me through nutrition and herbs that played a big part in my recovery. Water’s Edge Wellness also has an HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) machine and I use it as often as I can. It helps me manage my symptoms.
Nancy is so kind, she really wants you to get better. She does not judge your past bad habits. To me, Nancy is brilliant and has an abundance of knowledge. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work. I enjoy going to her office and plan on seeing her for years to come.

If you're searching for a children's natural health practitioner Atkinson NH or similar services across the North Shore communities of Essex County, Massachusetts, you're likely exploring evidence-based natural medicine as an alternative or complement to conventional pediatric care. A children's natural health practitioner Atkinson NH typically specializes in functional medicine approaches-meaning they investigate root causes of health concerns rather than managing symptoms alone. This methodology is particularly valuable for children dealing with recurrent infections, digestive dysfunction, behavioral concerns, or immune system challenges.
Children's natural health practitioners operate under varying credential structures depending on their foundational training. Some hold licenses as Naturopathic Doctors (ND) in states recognizing naturopathic licensure, while others may be Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN), functional medicine-trained MDs, or certified clinical nutritionists. The distinction matters: each background brings different methodologies and scope of practice. A practitioner with formal pediatric training has studied developmental physiology, age-appropriate dosing, and child-specific diagnostic markers-critical considerations when working with growing bodies.
When evaluating a children's natural health practitioner Atkinson NH or practitioners in surrounding communities like Boxford, MA, consider their continuing education in pediatric-specific protocols. The gastrointestinal system, immune function, and hormonal development in children operate differently than in adults, requiring specialized knowledge.
Evidence-based pediatric natural medicine typically encompasses several overlapping approaches:
Natural medicine for children works best when it addresses the whole child-their digestive system, immune function, emotional resilience, and growth trajectory-rather than isolated symptoms.
| Practitioner Type | Training Foundation | Typical Focus Areas | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Naturopathic Doctor (ND) | 4-year doctoral program in clinical nutrition and botanical medicine | Nutritional protocols, herbal remedies, lifestyle counseling | Preventative care and chronic digestive or immune concerns |
| Functional Medicine MD | Medical degree plus functional medicine certification | Systems-based assessment, comprehensive lab work, integration with conventional care | Complex cases requiring medical expertise alongside natural approaches |
| Registered Dietitian (RD) | Accredited nutrition program plus supervised practice | Nutritional counseling, food sensitivities, medical nutrition therapy | Specific dietary management and nutrient optimization |
| Clinical Nutritionist | Variable training; certification through professional organizations | Supplement protocols, nutritional assessment, dietary guidance | General nutritional support and wellness optimization |
The best fit depends on your child's health situation. A child's natural health practitioner Atkinson NH addressing recurrent ear infections might emphasize immune-modulating botanicals and dairy sensitivity assessment, while one managing eczema might focus on gut barrier integrity and essential fatty acid status. Practitioners in Essex County, Massachusetts communities like Boxford recognize that children benefit from integrated care-where natural approaches work alongside, not in opposition to, conventional pediatric oversight.
When evaluating whether a children's natural health practitioner is appropriate for your family, assess several factors: their specific pediatric training hours, whether they communicate openly with your child's conventional pediatrician, their approach to safety with supplements and botanicals, and their ability to explain their clinical reasoning in understandable terms. At Waters Edge Wellness in Boxford and serving surrounding North Shore communities, our approach emphasizes this transparency and collaborative framework. Request information about their diagnostic methodology, expected timeline for results, and how they modify protocols as children grow and develop.
Ask potential practitioners about their experience with your child's specific concern-whether it's gut dysbiosis, food sensitivities, immune dysregulation, or behavioral health. Experience with pediatric cases shapes the depth of their knowledge about developmental considerations and age-appropriate interventions.
A pediatrician holds an MD or DO and is trained in conventional disease diagnosis and treatment, while a children's natural health practitioner uses functional and nutritional medicine approaches to identify root causes and support wellness. Many families find value in both-using natural practitioners for preventative care and nutritional optimization while maintaining conventional pediatric oversight for acute illness and developmental monitoring.
Safety depends on the practitioner's knowledge of pediatric dosing, drug interactions, and quality standards. A qualified children's natural health practitioner will recommend practitioner-grade supplements, verify safety with your child's other medications, and adjust doses based on age and weight. Always inform your pediatrician about supplements your child is taking.
Most chronic conditions improve gradually over weeks to months as dietary changes take effect and nutritional status improves. Acute concerns like recurrent infections may show improvement within one to three months, while deeper issues like gut dysbiosis often require three to six months of consistent protocol adherence before significant shifts occur.
No. A competent children's natural health practitioner will never recommend discontinuing prescribed medications without explicit guidance from your child's prescribing physician. Natural approaches typically work alongside conventional treatment, and changes should only occur under medical supervision as your child's health markers improve.
