After years of searching for relief from Bartonella and Babesia, I found Water’s Edge Wellness. My story begins two years ago when I was bitten by a tick. I was experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. IGeneX testing confirmed this and I was put on four different antibiotics for a year. At the same time my children were also showing signs of Lyme Disease including anxiety, heart palpitations, an inability to focus mentally, and breathlessness. I learned about Nancy Angelini and have been completely symptom free now that I am three months into my weekly, all natural treatments. My daughters are also on the road to recovery and we owe it all to Water’s Edge Wellness.

Water’s Edge Wellness has been helpful with not only relieving my pain but also with educating me on prevention and corrective ways to take care of myself from head-to-toe. The environment at Water’s Edge Wellness is so peaceful, it is like taking a vacation from the stress of everyday life. My shoulder and back muscles were very tight from a previous neck injury and my friend recommended the services of Nancy Angelini to help with my pain. If you are looking for results, I would recommend Nancy Angelini at Water’s Edge Wellness.

It is with great pleasure that I share the sense of blessing I have for being in Nancy’s care…I had been on a downward spiral for years and did not understand the myriad of symptoms that plagued me…Despite my efforts to find answers in the traditional medical community the answers I was provided with were just temporary band-aids. I was right on target with what Nancy had predicted in terms of my turn around time. I still have a short way to go with treatment but have very high expectations for my life ahead. Thank you Nancy for what you do and for the care you have in doing it.

The improvements in my overall health have been very significant to me. What is remarkable is that I have only been your client for a mere 9 weeks. Since adopting your carefully designed and customized protocol I noticed my health started to improve just days into the program. I believe you have a very unique gift and your truly holistic approach to healing the body is magnificent. I haven’t felt this healthy, this vibrant since well before my bout with cancer over 20 years ago.

I met Nancy at a time when I was abandoned and left for dead by traditional western medical practices when my chronic Lyme Disease had been dismissed by every specialty I sought care from. I was so incredibly broken and every system in my body had begun to fail from a decade of missed tick born illness and total body toxicity burden. Nancy’s heartfelt approach and careful consideration of my case has saved my life. After partnering with her for a year I am well on my way to recovery from chronic illness and I owe it all to Nancy’s knowledge, compassion and tireless commitment to my improvement.

I started with Nancy in June of 2019 after having a knee replacement. Nancy helped me get more range and also made my scar look 100% better using cupping, moxa and topical herbal poultices as well as deep massage. I am still with her today as I had guillain barre in 2006. Nancy guided me through nutrition and herbs that played a big part in my recovery. Water’s Edge Wellness also has an HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) machine and I use it as often as I can. It helps me manage my symptoms.
Nancy is so kind, she really wants you to get better. She does not judge your past bad habits. To me, Nancy is brilliant and has an abundance of knowledge. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work. I enjoy going to her office and plan on seeing her for years to come.

Finding a children's natural health practitioner in Plaistow NH can feel overwhelming, especially when you're committed to exploring natural approaches to your child's health. When comparing children's natural health practitioners in the Plaistow area, it's important to understand the different philosophies, qualifications, and service models available. This evaluation helps you navigate your options with clarity, ensuring you select a practitioner whose approach aligns with your family's wellness goals. Whether your child is dealing with digestive concerns, immune challenges, or you're seeking preventative care through natural medicine, understanding what distinguishes one practitioner from another is essential to making an informed decision.
When evaluating a children's natural health practitioner in Plaistow NH, the first analytical framework to consider is the practitioner's formal training and credentials. The natural health field encompasses several distinct credential types, each with different educational requirements and regulatory oversight. Licensed Naturopathic Doctors (ND) in states where naturopathy is regulated complete four-year graduate programs covering anatomy, physiology, clinical nutrition, and botanical medicine. Functional medicine practitioners typically hold an MD or DO degree and receive additional specialized training in systems-based healthcare. Clinical nutritionists and health coaches may hold certifications from various accrediting bodies with varying standards.
The distinction matters because it affects both the depth of training and the scope of what a practitioner can legally recommend. When comparing practitioners, ask about their educational background, continuing education commitments, and whether they hold any relevant professional certifications. A practitioner serving the broader North Shore communities of Essex County, Massachusetts, including those in Boxford and surrounding areas, should be able to clearly articulate their training and how it applies to pediatric care specifically.
The data suggests that children's natural health practitioners operate under two primary service delivery models, each with distinct advantages and trade-offs. The direct-to-consumer model is where families work with an independent practitioner who provides comprehensive consultation, assessment, and natural medicine recommendations. This approach typically involves in-depth initial consultations, personalized wellness plans, and ongoing support focused entirely on natural approaches.
The integrated care model positions natural practitioners as part of a broader healthcare team, often working alongside conventional medical providers or within larger wellness centers. Practices like Waters Edge Wellness in Boxford exemplify this approach, combining evidence-based natural medicine with collaborative care principles.
When comparing children's natural health practitioners in Plaistow NH, understanding their specific areas of focus helps ensure alignment with your child's needs. The most common specialization areas include gut health and digestive optimization, immune system support, natural approaches to common childhood conditions, nutritional counseling, and preventative wellness planning.
| Service Focus | Typical Approach | Best For | Considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gut Health & Digestion | Dietary modifications, targeted supplementation, microbiome assessment | Food sensitivities, constipation, bloating, IBS-like symptoms | Requires 4-8 week minimum commitment to see results |
| Immune & Autoimmune Support | Nutritional assessment, botanical medicine, lifestyle modification | Frequent infections, autoimmune conditions, allergic responses | Works best alongside conventional medical monitoring |
| Nutritional Counseling | Dietary assessment, age-appropriate nutrition planning, supplement guidance | Picky eaters, nutrient deficiencies, performance optimization | Effectiveness depends on family compliance with recommendations |
| Preventative Wellness | Holistic assessment, lifestyle optimization, foundational health building | Health-conscious families seeking proactive care, before problems develop | Requires long-term perspective; benefits emerge gradually |
The practical reality of working with a children's natural health practitioner extends beyond credentials and services to include accessibility and how well the practitioner communicates with both children and parents. When comparing practitioners in the Plaistow area and surrounding North Shore communities, consider whether they offer convenient appointment scheduling, telehealth options for follow-up consultations, and whether their communication style feels aligned with your family's needs.
Key evaluation questions include: How does the practitioner explain recommendations in ways you understand? Do they spend adequate time answering questions? How do they engage with children of different ages? What is their approach to parental involvement in treatment planning? Practitioners who excel in pediatric natural health typically balance clinical expertise with genuine warmth and the ability to make complex health concepts accessible to families.
Location convenience matters practically as well. While a children's natural health practitioner in Plaistow NH may be your nearest option, practitioners within the broader Essex County area offer alternative access points. Some families find that a slightly longer drive is worthwhile if the practitioner's expertise or communication style creates better outcomes for their child's specific health needs.
The final analytical step involves weighing these factors against your family's specific situation, resources, and health goals. Begin by clarifying your primary concern: is your child struggling with a specific digestive, immune, or developmental challenge, or are you seeking general health optimization and preventative care? This clarity helps you identify whether a highly specialized practitioner or a generalist with broad pediatric experience serves you better.
Next, verify credentials through appropriate professional organizations and ensure any practitioner you consider operates within legal and ethical boundaries in Massachusetts. Request an initial consultation or phone conversation to assess communication fit. Ask about their experience working with children at your child's specific age and developmental stage, as a practitioner excellent with adolescents may not have similar expertise with young children.
Finally, consider the integrated care perspective: does this practitioner view themselves as part of your child's broader healthcare team, or do they position natural medicine as entirely separate from conventional care? The most evidence-based approach typically involves practitioners who respect both natural medicine and conventional medical expertise, collaborating when necessary while maintaining their natural health focus.
Whether you're located in Plaistow or exploring options throughout the North Shore communities and Essex County, Massachusetts, taking time to thoroughly evaluate practitioners ensures your child receives care aligned with both your values and their specific health needs.
Look for practitioners with credentials from accredited naturopathic or functional medicine programs, continuing education in pediatric care, and clear documentation of their training. Verify any licenses or certifications through appropriate state boards or professional organizations. Ask specifically about their experience treating children and whether they have additional specialization in pediatric nutrition or child development.
Results timelines vary significantly based on the condition being addressed, typically ranging from 2-12 weeks for noticeable improvement in digestive or immune concerns. Preventative wellness and foundational health improvements often require 3-6 months of consistent implementation before families observe meaningful changes. Your practitioner should provide a realistic timeline specific to your child's situation and explain what milestones to expect along the way.
Yes, ideally your child's natural health practitioner should be willing to communicate with your conventional medical providers, particularly for complex conditions or when your child is taking medications. Coordinated care ensures all providers have complete health information and can identify potential interactions between natural recommendations and conventional treatments. This collaborative approach represents best practices in pediatric healthcare.
