After years of searching for relief from Bartonella and Babesia, I found Water’s Edge Wellness. My story begins two years ago when I was bitten by a tick. I was experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. IGeneX testing confirmed this and I was put on four different antibiotics for a year. At the same time my children were also showing signs of Lyme Disease including anxiety, heart palpitations, an inability to focus mentally, and breathlessness. I learned about Nancy Angelini and have been completely symptom free now that I am three months into my weekly, all natural treatments. My daughters are also on the road to recovery and we owe it all to Water’s Edge Wellness.

Water’s Edge Wellness has been helpful with not only relieving my pain but also with educating me on prevention and corrective ways to take care of myself from head-to-toe. The environment at Water’s Edge Wellness is so peaceful, it is like taking a vacation from the stress of everyday life. My shoulder and back muscles were very tight from a previous neck injury and my friend recommended the services of Nancy Angelini to help with my pain. If you are looking for results, I would recommend Nancy Angelini at Water’s Edge Wellness.

It is with great pleasure that I share the sense of blessing I have for being in Nancy’s care…I had been on a downward spiral for years and did not understand the myriad of symptoms that plagued me…Despite my efforts to find answers in the traditional medical community the answers I was provided with were just temporary band-aids. I was right on target with what Nancy had predicted in terms of my turn around time. I still have a short way to go with treatment but have very high expectations for my life ahead. Thank you Nancy for what you do and for the care you have in doing it.

The improvements in my overall health have been very significant to me. What is remarkable is that I have only been your client for a mere 9 weeks. Since adopting your carefully designed and customized protocol I noticed my health started to improve just days into the program. I believe you have a very unique gift and your truly holistic approach to healing the body is magnificent. I haven’t felt this healthy, this vibrant since well before my bout with cancer over 20 years ago.

I met Nancy at a time when I was abandoned and left for dead by traditional western medical practices when my chronic Lyme Disease had been dismissed by every specialty I sought care from. I was so incredibly broken and every system in my body had begun to fail from a decade of missed tick born illness and total body toxicity burden. Nancy’s heartfelt approach and careful consideration of my case has saved my life. After partnering with her for a year I am well on my way to recovery from chronic illness and I owe it all to Nancy’s knowledge, compassion and tireless commitment to my improvement.

I started with Nancy in June of 2019 after having a knee replacement. Nancy helped me get more range and also made my scar look 100% better using cupping, moxa and topical herbal poultices as well as deep massage. I am still with her today as I had guillain barre in 2006. Nancy guided me through nutrition and herbs that played a big part in my recovery. Water’s Edge Wellness also has an HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) machine and I use it as often as I can. It helps me manage my symptoms.
Nancy is so kind, she really wants you to get better. She does not judge your past bad habits. To me, Nancy is brilliant and has an abundance of knowledge. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work. I enjoy going to her office and plan on seeing her for years to come.

As professionals at Waters Edge Wellness serving Boxford, MA and surrounding North Shore communities in Essex County, Massachusetts, we recognize that individuals seeking holistic Parkinsons support Hampton NH are looking for integrative approaches that address the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. Parkinson's disease presents complex neurological challenges, and many people are increasingly interested in complementary strategies that work alongside conventional care. Holistic Parkinsons support in Hampton NH emphasizes nutritional optimization, gut health restoration, and lifestyle modifications that may help support neurological function and quality of life.
The relationship between gut health and neurological function is well-established in functional medicine. Approximately 90 percent of the neurotransmitter serotonin is produced in the gastrointestinal tract, and emerging research suggests that gut dysbiosis-an imbalance of beneficial bacteria-may influence neurological conditions including Parkinson's disease. When seeking holistic Parkinsons support, addressing digestive function becomes a foundational priority. This means evaluating food sensitivities, supporting healthy microbial diversity, and optimizing nutrient absorption to ensure the body can produce and utilize the neurochemicals necessary for optimal brain function.
Nutrition plays a significant role in how the body processes Parkinson's medications and manages symptoms. Certain amino acids, particularly those found in high-protein foods, can interact with levodopa absorption, making timing and nutrient composition critically important. Holistic Parkinsons support in Hampton NH incorporates detailed nutritional counseling to optimize meal timing, macronutrient ratios, and micronutrient status. Antioxidant-rich foods, omega-3 fatty acids, and foods supporting mitochondrial health become part of a comprehensive wellness strategy. Waters Edge Wellness practitioners work with individuals to create sustainable eating patterns that enhance medication effectiveness while addressing nutritional deficiencies common in neurological conditions.
"A comprehensive nutritional assessment can identify micronutrient deficiencies-such as B vitamins, magnesium, and CoQ10-that may be limiting neurological resilience and energy production, making targeted supplementation and dietary modification a cornerstone of holistic support."
Holistic approaches to Parkinsons support recognize that medication is only one piece of the wellness puzzle. Regular movement-whether gentle yoga, tai chi, walking, or resistance training-supports neuroplasticity and may help maintain motor function longer. Chronic stress elevates cortisol, which impairs immune regulation and neurological recovery. Quality sleep is when the brain performs its essential detoxification through the glymphatic system. When developing a holistic Parkinsons support plan, practitioners assess sleep quality, stress resilience, and movement capacity, then design interventions that address all three. This integrated approach often produces more sustainable outcomes than addressing symptoms alone.
Emerging research suggests that neuroinflammation and autoimmune dysregulation may play roles in Parkinson's disease progression. Holistic Parkinsons support in Hampton NH includes investigating potential sources of systemic inflammation-food sensitivities, environmental exposures, chronic infections, and dysbiotic patterns-that may be driving neurological challenges. This is where the expertise of practitioners trained in functional medicine becomes invaluable. Rather than assuming all symptoms stem solely from Parkinson's disease, a thorough assessment identifies contributing factors that, when addressed, may reduce symptom burden and improve quality of life. This investigative approach aligns with the philosophy practiced throughout Essex County communities seeking natural, root-cause medicine.
Holistic Parkinsons support is most effective when coordinated with conventional neurology care. Complementary approaches-including targeted supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and mind-body practices-should enhance, not replace, medical supervision. Waters Edge Wellness practitioners maintain open communication with neurologists and other healthcare providers to ensure safety and efficacy. This collaborative model honors both evidence-based conventional care and integrative strategies, allowing individuals with Parkinson's to access the full spectrum of supportive options. When seeking holistic Parkinsons support, choosing practitioners who respect this collaborative framework ensures comprehensive, safe, and individualized care.
Holistic Parkinsons support represents a paradigm shift from symptom management alone toward comprehensive health optimization. By addressing gut health, nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and inflammation simultaneously, individuals can often experience improvements in energy, motor function, mood, and overall quality of life. If you're exploring natural approaches to support your neurological health, consulting with experienced holistic practitioners in your area can provide the personalized guidance necessary to create a sustainable wellness plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
No, holistic approaches are designed to complement, not replace, prescribed Parkinson's medications. Conventional neurological care remains essential for managing motor symptoms and slowing disease progression. Holistic support works alongside medication to optimize overall health, reduce secondary symptoms, and enhance quality of life through nutritional, lifestyle, and stress-management strategies.
Key nutrients include CoQ10, which supports mitochondrial energy production; B vitamins for neurological health; magnesium for muscle function; omega-3 fatty acids for brain inflammation; and antioxidants like vitamins C and E. Deficiencies in these nutrients are common and can amplify symptoms. A functional medicine practitioner can assess your individual status and recommend personalized supplementation.
The gut produces neurotransmitters and houses trillions of bacteria that influence neurological function through the gut-brain axis. Dysbiosis and poor digestive health can reduce nutrient absorption, increase inflammation, and impair neurotransmitter production. Restoring gut health through diet, probiotics, and lifestyle modifications often improves both digestive function and neurological symptoms.
Foods that trigger inflammation or sensitivities vary by individual, but common triggers include processed foods, refined sugars, trans fats, and foods with high pesticide residues. Additionally, timing protein intake matters because large amounts can interfere with levodopa absorption. A nutritional counselor can perform elimination diets and food sensitivity testing to identify your specific triggers.
Yes, regular movement is strongly supported for Parkinson's disease management and may help maintain motor function longer. Gentle, consistent activities like walking, yoga, tai chi, and resistance training are particularly beneficial. Always consult your neurologist before starting new exercise programs, and consider working with a movement specialist to ensure proper form and safety.
Look for practitioners with credentials in functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, or clinical nutrition who have specific experience with neurological conditions. Verify that they maintain collaborative relationships with conventional neurologists and understand the importance of coordinated care. Waters Edge Wellness and similar practices throughout Essex County offer consultations to help determine if their approach aligns with your health goals.
Yes, chronic stress elevates cortisol, which increases inflammation and impairs neurological function. Stress management practices like meditation, deep breathing, yoga, and counseling can lower cortisol, improve sleep quality, and reduce both motor and non-motor symptoms. Many individuals report meaningful improvements in tremor, rigidity, and mood when stress levels decrease through dedicated mind-body practices.
