After years of searching for relief from Bartonella and Babesia, I found Water’s Edge Wellness. My story begins two years ago when I was bitten by a tick. I was experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. IGeneX testing confirmed this and I was put on four different antibiotics for a year. At the same time my children were also showing signs of Lyme Disease including anxiety, heart palpitations, an inability to focus mentally, and breathlessness. I learned about Nancy Angelini and have been completely symptom free now that I am three months into my weekly, all natural treatments. My daughters are also on the road to recovery and we owe it all to Water’s Edge Wellness.

Water’s Edge Wellness has been helpful with not only relieving my pain but also with educating me on prevention and corrective ways to take care of myself from head-to-toe. The environment at Water’s Edge Wellness is so peaceful, it is like taking a vacation from the stress of everyday life. My shoulder and back muscles were very tight from a previous neck injury and my friend recommended the services of Nancy Angelini to help with my pain. If you are looking for results, I would recommend Nancy Angelini at Water’s Edge Wellness.

It is with great pleasure that I share the sense of blessing I have for being in Nancy’s care…I had been on a downward spiral for years and did not understand the myriad of symptoms that plagued me…Despite my efforts to find answers in the traditional medical community the answers I was provided with were just temporary band-aids. I was right on target with what Nancy had predicted in terms of my turn around time. I still have a short way to go with treatment but have very high expectations for my life ahead. Thank you Nancy for what you do and for the care you have in doing it.

The improvements in my overall health have been very significant to me. What is remarkable is that I have only been your client for a mere 9 weeks. Since adopting your carefully designed and customized protocol I noticed my health started to improve just days into the program. I believe you have a very unique gift and your truly holistic approach to healing the body is magnificent. I haven’t felt this healthy, this vibrant since well before my bout with cancer over 20 years ago.

I met Nancy at a time when I was abandoned and left for dead by traditional western medical practices when my chronic Lyme Disease had been dismissed by every specialty I sought care from. I was so incredibly broken and every system in my body had begun to fail from a decade of missed tick born illness and total body toxicity burden. Nancy’s heartfelt approach and careful consideration of my case has saved my life. After partnering with her for a year I am well on my way to recovery from chronic illness and I owe it all to Nancy’s knowledge, compassion and tireless commitment to my improvement.

I started with Nancy in June of 2019 after having a knee replacement. Nancy helped me get more range and also made my scar look 100% better using cupping, moxa and topical herbal poultices as well as deep massage. I am still with her today as I had guillain barre in 2006. Nancy guided me through nutrition and herbs that played a big part in my recovery. Water’s Edge Wellness also has an HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) machine and I use it as often as I can. It helps me manage my symptoms.
Nancy is so kind, she really wants you to get better. She does not judge your past bad habits. To me, Nancy is brilliant and has an abundance of knowledge. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work. I enjoy going to her office and plan on seeing her for years to come.

If you're living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the Lynnfield area or surrounding North Shore communities, you've likely experienced the frustration of conventional treatments that focus on symptom management rather than root causes. Natural approaches to MS Lynnfield MA offer a complementary pathway that emphasizes immune system balance, nutritional support, and lifestyle optimization. This guide walks you through practical, evidence-based strategies you can implement alongside your medical care to support your overall wellness and potentially reduce symptom severity.
Working with a holistic health practice like Waters Edge Wellness in nearby Boxford, MA can help you personalize these natural approaches to your unique situation. Because MS affects everyone differently, what works for one person may need adjustment for another. By following these steps, you'll understand how to build a comprehensive natural wellness strategy that addresses the underlying factors contributing to your condition.
Your gut health directly influences your immune system function, and research increasingly shows that people with autoimmune conditions like MS often have compromised digestive systems. Begin by keeping a detailed food and symptom journal for two to three weeks. Note everything you eat, when you eat it, and any physical symptoms that follow-fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, or digestive discomfort. This practice reveals patterns you might otherwise miss.
Once you've identified potential trigger foods, consider eliminating common inflammatory culprits like gluten, dairy, refined sugars, and processed vegetable oils for a trial period of four to six weeks. Many people with autoimmune conditions experience significant improvement when these foods are removed. A practitioner specializing in natural remedies for gut health in Essex County communities can guide you through this elimination process safely and help you reintroduce foods strategically. Focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods: organic vegetables, healthy fats like olive oil and avocado, quality proteins, and anti-inflammatory herbs like turmeric and ginger.
Natural approaches to MS include specific nutrients that support neurological health and immune regulation. Key supplements to discuss with a holistic practitioner include omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D (many people with MS have deficiency), magnesium, and B vitamins. Because supplementation should be personalized to your specific needs and current medications, working with a qualified professional ensures safety and effectiveness.
Beyond supplementation, focus on nutrient-dense whole foods that provide these compounds naturally. Fatty fish like wild-caught salmon, leafy greens, seeds, nuts, and bone broth all support neurological function and reduce inflammation. Waters Edge Wellness offers nutritional counseling that considers your individual health history, current symptoms, and lab work to create a protocol tailored specifically to you. This personalized approach is far more effective than generic supplement recommendations.
Stress and hormonal imbalance significantly impact MS progression and symptom severity. Your nervous system responds to chronic stress by triggering immune activation, which can worsen inflammation. Begin implementing daily stress-reduction practices: meditation, gentle yoga, time in nature, or deep breathing exercises. Even 10-15 minutes daily creates measurable changes in your cortisol levels and immune function.
Hormonal balance is equally important, particularly for women navigating MS alongside hormonal fluctuations. Natural hormone balancing includes optimizing sleep, managing blood sugar through consistent eating patterns, and supporting detoxification pathways through adequate hydration and movement. In the Boxford area and surrounding North Shore communities, working with a practitioner trained in natural hormone support helps you understand how your specific hormonal patterns influence your MS symptoms.
| Natural Support Strategy | Primary Benefit for MS | Implementation Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Gut healing and food elimination | Reduces immune system activation | 4-6 weeks to notice changes |
| Anti-inflammatory nutrition | Decreases neurological inflammation | Ongoing; benefits build over months |
| Stress management practices | Lowers cortisol and immune triggers | Daily practice; effects seen in 2-3 weeks |
| Sleep optimization | Supports immune regulation and recovery | Immediate implementation |
| Movement and gentle exercise | Maintains neurological function and mood | Start slowly; build gradually |
Natural approaches to MS are most effective when they become integrated into your daily life rather than feeling like rigid protocols. Work with a holistic health practice to develop a realistic plan that fits your energy levels and schedule. Start with one or two changes, master them, then gradually add additional strategies. This approach prevents overwhelm and increases the likelihood you'll maintain these practices long-term.
Track your progress through measurable markers: energy levels, symptom frequency, sleep quality, digestive function, and mood. Many people notice improvements in cognitive clarity and reduced fatigue within two to three months of consistent implementation. Remember that natural wellness is a marathon, not a sprint. By working with practitioners at Waters Edge Wellness in Boxford and the surrounding Essex County area who understand both the science and art of natural medicine, you gain a trusted partner in optimizing your health and managing MS symptoms holistically alongside your conventional medical care.
Natural approaches work best as complementary strategies alongside your prescribed medications, not as replacements. Always consult your neurologist before making any changes to your MS treatment plan. Holistic practitioners focus on supporting your body's resilience and reducing symptom severity through lifestyle, nutrition, and stress management while you continue appropriate medical oversight.
Many people notice improvements in energy, digestion, and sleep quality within 2-3 weeks of implementing dietary and lifestyle changes, though neurological symptoms may take longer to shift. Because every person's MS progression is unique, results vary significantly. Working with a practitioner helps you set realistic expectations and adjust your protocol based on your individual response.
The strongest evidence supports dietary modification (particularly anti-inflammatory diets), vitamin D supplementation, stress management, regular gentle exercise, and optimizing sleep quality. Gut health and nutritional optimization are increasingly recognized as important factors in immune regulation. A qualified holistic practitioner helps you navigate the research and determine which evidence-based approaches best match your specific situation.
