After years of searching for relief from Bartonella and Babesia, I found Water’s Edge Wellness. My story begins two years ago when I was bitten by a tick. I was experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. IGeneX testing confirmed this and I was put on four different antibiotics for a year. At the same time my children were also showing signs of Lyme Disease including anxiety, heart palpitations, an inability to focus mentally, and breathlessness. I learned about Nancy Angelini and have been completely symptom free now that I am three months into my weekly, all natural treatments. My daughters are also on the road to recovery and we owe it all to Water’s Edge Wellness.

Water’s Edge Wellness has been helpful with not only relieving my pain but also with educating me on prevention and corrective ways to take care of myself from head-to-toe. The environment at Water’s Edge Wellness is so peaceful, it is like taking a vacation from the stress of everyday life. My shoulder and back muscles were very tight from a previous neck injury and my friend recommended the services of Nancy Angelini to help with my pain. If you are looking for results, I would recommend Nancy Angelini at Water’s Edge Wellness.

It is with great pleasure that I share the sense of blessing I have for being in Nancy’s care…I had been on a downward spiral for years and did not understand the myriad of symptoms that plagued me…Despite my efforts to find answers in the traditional medical community the answers I was provided with were just temporary band-aids. I was right on target with what Nancy had predicted in terms of my turn around time. I still have a short way to go with treatment but have very high expectations for my life ahead. Thank you Nancy for what you do and for the care you have in doing it.

The improvements in my overall health have been very significant to me. What is remarkable is that I have only been your client for a mere 9 weeks. Since adopting your carefully designed and customized protocol I noticed my health started to improve just days into the program. I believe you have a very unique gift and your truly holistic approach to healing the body is magnificent. I haven’t felt this healthy, this vibrant since well before my bout with cancer over 20 years ago.

I met Nancy at a time when I was abandoned and left for dead by traditional western medical practices when my chronic Lyme Disease had been dismissed by every specialty I sought care from. I was so incredibly broken and every system in my body had begun to fail from a decade of missed tick born illness and total body toxicity burden. Nancy’s heartfelt approach and careful consideration of my case has saved my life. After partnering with her for a year I am well on my way to recovery from chronic illness and I owe it all to Nancy’s knowledge, compassion and tireless commitment to my improvement.

I started with Nancy in June of 2019 after having a knee replacement. Nancy helped me get more range and also made my scar look 100% better using cupping, moxa and topical herbal poultices as well as deep massage. I am still with her today as I had guillain barre in 2006. Nancy guided me through nutrition and herbs that played a big part in my recovery. Water’s Edge Wellness also has an HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) machine and I use it as often as I can. It helps me manage my symptoms.
Nancy is so kind, she really wants you to get better. She does not judge your past bad habits. To me, Nancy is brilliant and has an abundance of knowledge. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work. I enjoy going to her office and plan on seeing her for years to come.

Families in Hampton, NH and surrounding North Shore communities seeking natural autism support Hampton NH often face a crossroads: pursue conventional interventions alone, or explore complementary approaches that address underlying biological factors. Natural autism support represents a paradigm shift from symptom management toward root-cause investigation, examining gut health, nutritional status, immune function, and environmental factors that may influence developmental and behavioral outcomes. At Waters Edge Wellness in Boxford, MA, we recognize that autism spectrum conditions involve complex interactions between genetics, environment, and physiology. This analysis examines what families should understand when evaluating natural support options.
Research into autism spectrum conditions increasingly reveals significant overlap with gastrointestinal dysfunction. When comparing conventional approaches to natural autism support Hampton NH, the distinction often centers on whether digestive health receives adequate attention. Studies consistently document that individuals on the autism spectrum experience higher rates of constipation, diarrhea, food sensitivities, and inflammatory responses than the general population. The gut microbiome influences neurotransmitter production, immune regulation, and intestinal barrier function-all factors that may impact behavior, sensory processing, and overall well-being.
Natural support frameworks examine whether dysbiosis (microbial imbalance), food sensitivities, or intestinal permeability contribute to individual presentations. Because the gut produces approximately 90 percent of the body's serotonin and influences immune tolerance, optimizing digestive function represents a foundational intervention. Families exploring natural autism support should consider working with practitioners who assess digestive markers, identify problematic foods, and implement evidence-based dietary modifications tailored to individual needs.
Nutritional assessment forms a cornerstone of natural autism support Hampton NH. The data suggests that individuals on the autism spectrum frequently present with deficiencies in vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, B vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids-nutrients critical for neurological function, immune regulation, and emotional balance. Restrictive eating patterns, common in autism, can amplify these gaps.
When evaluating nutritional approaches, consider this framework: deficiency identification through assessment, targeted supplementation based on individual needs, and dietary expansion when tolerated. Rather than recommending universal supplementation protocols, evidence-based practitioners conduct personalized nutritional counseling to determine which interventions address specific gaps. This might include exploring food sensitivities that limit dietary variety, addressing malabsorption issues affecting nutrient uptake, or identifying optimal micronutrient levels for individual biochemistry.
| Nutrient | Common Status in Autism Spectrum | Potential Support Strategies |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin D | Often insufficient | Testing, supplementation, sun exposure assessment |
| Magnesium | Frequently low | Dietary sources, supplementation, form selection |
| Zinc | Variable deficiency | Testing, balanced supplementation, dietary sources |
| Omega-3 Fatty Acids | Often inadequate | Fish oil or plant-based options, quality assessment |
Natural autism support Hampton NH extends beyond supplementation to examine environmental triggers and immune function. Individuals on the autism spectrum frequently display altered immune responses, including elevated inflammatory markers, autoimmune tendencies, or heightened sensitivity to environmental exposures. When comparing conventional and natural approaches, practitioners taking an integrative stance investigate whether inflammatory processes, food-related immune activation, or environmental sensitivities contribute to behavioral or sensory challenges.
Key areas for assessment include:
Evidence-based natural autism support Hampton NH functions most effectively when integrated thoughtfully with established therapies rather than positioned as replacement. Families in Essex County, Massachusetts and the surrounding North Shore communities benefit from practitioners who coordinate care-ensuring that dietary modifications, supplementation, and lifestyle adjustments complement behavioral, speech, occupational, and educational interventions. Waters Edge Wellness approaches each case by examining individual biology, identifying modifiable factors, and creating personalized protocols aligned with family goals and values. This integrative model respects both conventional strengths and the therapeutic potential of natural, root-cause approaches to support optimal development and well-being.
Natural autism support encompasses nutritional assessment, gut health evaluation, identification of food sensitivities, micronutrient supplementation when indicated, immune function assessment, and lifestyle modifications. It focuses on identifying and addressing biological factors that may influence behavior, sensory processing, and overall well-being rather than relying solely on symptom management.
No. Natural support approaches work best when integrated with established interventions like behavioral therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Natural strategies address underlying biological factors while conventional therapies develop specific skills-both contribute to comprehensive support.
Timeline varies significantly based on the individual and which factors are being addressed. Some families notice changes within weeks when addressing acute gut issues or food sensitivities, while other improvements may take several months as the body recalibrates. Patience and consistent implementation are important.
While sensory sensitivities stem from neurological differences, supporting optimal gut health, reducing inflammation, and addressing nutritional deficiencies can improve overall nervous system regulation. This may reduce the intensity of some sensory responses, though the fundamental sensory differences remain part of neurodiversity.
The gut produces neurotransmitters, regulates immune function, and influences intestinal barrier integrity-all factors affecting neurological health. Many individuals on the autism spectrum experience digestive dysfunction, food sensitivities, or microbial imbalance that may amplify behavioral or sensory challenges when unaddressed.
Not necessarily. Rather than broad elimination, practitioners first identify which specific foods trigger individual responses through assessment and careful observation. Evidence-based approaches then address why sensitivities exist-often through gut healing and immune rebalancing-rather than permanent restriction.
Look for practitioners trained in functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, or integrative approaches who specialize in autism or pediatric health. Practitioners like those at Waters Edge Wellness in Boxford, MA and surrounding North Shore communities can provide personalized assessment and support aligned with evidence-based natural medicine principles.
